Elizabeth Alcantar understands the strength of our city lies in its people, families, and businesses, and she’s leading the way to tackle the challenges of bringing new jobs, affordable housing, and bringing in new recreation and arts programs for children, adults, and seniors alike.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Supported Cudahy’s families throughout the pandemic with at-home meal deliveries, school supply giveaways, COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics, and renter and utility assistance.

Presented and passed an eviction defense ordinance to protect Cudahy’s renters and has fought for further renter's rights to support Cudahy's 85% of renters.

Organized community workshops on college readiness, renter’s rights, immigrant rights, and began Cudahy’s mural program with local Cudahy muralists.

​

Approved hundreds of new affordable units for seniors and families with priority for Cudahy residents.

​

Bringing in new businesses including a new neighborhood grocery store offering natural and organic  foods.

Champion for renters, affordable housing, and environmental justice.
